Game Of Thrones Season 1 (2011 - 2012)

"Winter is coming"

I am a little late to the game in watching Game of Thrones (GoT) as I have only just finished season 1 and have to admit I enjoyed it thoroughly. It made me want to play DnD and Larp but thats a good thing, the classic mystical fantasy world was awesome, thats not everything though, the complexity of the story lines and the number of character arcs that are being weaved together are what make this series a really good watch.

One of my favourite things about the whole series is the urgency of the situations. There are a lot of things happening at once, the internal conflicts of the Lanisters and Starks in the middle of the seven kingdoms which has mutliple story lines, Ned and Robert, Neds wife and Tyrion and the soon to be king Joffrey and his promised to be wife. Whilst this is happening the kingdom is in threat from two outside forces, the Wildling's and White Walkers from beyond the wall pushing from one threatening invasion from one side and the Dothraki and the Targaryen's pushing in from the other side. These complex stories all happening at once make you question which is more important out of the conflicts but they are all complex, well planned and have as many twists and turns as you can imagine, it completely grabs you!

An excellent involved series worth watching and well worth marathoning a whole series at a time! The whores can be a little off putting at times but its awesome in general, Watch it!!
