It was reported yesterday that Tony Scott jumped from a bridge to his death after being diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer but this has not been confirmed. Its a shame to think we wont see any more of his high concept action thrillers in the cinema, it is a tragic loss for the film industry and his friends and family. I feel the need...
Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn?
James Gunn is first in line for Marvel's upcoming galactic blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, he may seem an odd choice as he has had little blockbuster directorial success. He has however directed Super, an indie comedy about a superhero, it could be that its this cult indie director that marvel is specifically looking for, with Whedon doing the company brilliant things it wouldn't be surprising if they were looking for more indie talent to spread across the big screen. Anyway Super is a pretty good film and Gunn's comedy is something the GotG film would credit from for sure.
