SDCC news, lots of it.

The Hobbit Extra Footage
Jackson has said that he would like to shoot more footage for the Hobbit films and that this could end in two ways, extended versions or a third film. With the release dates for the films being Dec 2012 and Dec 2013 if there is a third film it will surely be pegged for a Dec 2014 release, although I'm all up for as much middle earth action as possible its a little shocking that the Hobbit may be three films when the LOTR trilogy are only one film each.

Hellboy 3
Pretty simple news, Hellboy was always set up to be a bit of a trilogy and in the past when asked, series director Gillermo Del Toro would only say that Perlman (who plays Hellboy) wouldn't want to spend time in the makeup again. At SDCC however the two got together and said that they would be actively working together to get a third film made. Despite the low box office of Hellboy 2, it was a pretty good movie so I hope it works out.

Solomon Kane
If your British you have already had a chance to see this at the cinema however the films never picked up a US distributor. Until now! So Solomon Kane will be making the rounds in America probably next year. I saw it a while ago, its not a bad film, it fills the hole of non cheesy, dark period fantasy nicely.

Iron Man 3 Costume

Well it's very gold.... and its not the armour from the extremis storyline. The circular core is back and the whole suit looks a little bulkier but that it. Like most of the versions we have seen there isn't a massive difference and I think Marvel need to find a new way of developing Stark without just giving him a new suit, I'm sure when the film comes out we will find out that there is a good reason for all of the suits interesting aspects and will get to see Stark develop.... just maybe not along the lines of the Extremis storyline. Marvel Animation
New marvel animations will include, Ultimate Spiderman, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H (including red hulk, she hulk and Abomb), Earth's Mightiest heroes will continue. So if your a fan of the Marvel kids animations its all gooooood news. 

Silent Hill Revelation 3D new footage

New silent hill footage (apparently the only PG showable footage they could find) looks pretty cool, the nurses are awesome! I can't remeber this hapening in the game but I could be mistaken but the quest to find someone is a very Silent Hill quest. Not only that but I really like the mention of the Carnival, if it sticks to the game that place will be creepy to say the least., and the search and sounds really similar to the kind of gameplay often seen in Silent Hill, so in conclusion, looks good.

Phase 2 Marvel Cinema Announcements
These are really simple images for the next few films so I will just simply show em to you :)

1Iron man 3 (^^^the news for that is up there)
2Thor: The dark World. Cool title a little over a year to wait, and I don't knwo what the Dark World is... Im guessing not earth so we might see an expansion of the world tree. It seems like expansion is the Marvel Movie plan in general.
3Captain America:The Winter Soldier. This should tell you exactly what will happen in the film. If you don't know who the Winter Soldier is and what he does then I dont care WOOP Winter Soldier!
4Ant-Man. Only a logo has been shown to the world except for a "Small" amount unfinished test footage that was a "Giant" success. The costume has a "little" nod to the classic StanLee version and the "tiny" amount of footage showed Antman changing size to kick ass "one inch at a time" (Wright).
5.Guardians of the Galaxy..... Im a Marvel fan and I know practically nothing about Guardians of the Galaxy except that they need an abreviation and there sales are about to jump.... I mean really jump. Although this seems a random movie to shove in phase two if you recognised the galactic menace (understatement much) Thanos at the end of the avengers then it makes a little more sense. With Marvel using thanos and the Chitouri or whatever (still angry at the use of ultimate skrull like villains) it is clear they want to be more galactic and expansive, with this in mind GOTG(?) seems less random and I'm guessing will have links to the "Dark World" in thor 2, if in no other way than they both expand the Marvel Cinematic U. Concept images for Guardians have been released to gain interest take a look vvvv

Joss Whedon
Finally for now as a Whedonite there has been a lot to follow, Much Ado, Dr Horrible, Firefly, Avengers 2, Socialist arguing, ECT ECT....
